LOL-Betty Boop Offends some folks tender sensibilities

Laugh for the day---I am heartbroken. Someone reported me to MS about my avatar. It seems as though MS feels my Betty Boop avatar is too suggestive and is offensive. I am blocked from posting on any MS site, including MSN, until I change her. I have read only privileges. I hope none of you are so sensitive, especially John. Me and Betty go back a long time together.

Actually I don't think it is sexually suggestive as much as the character was certainly sexist and stereotypical. But I don't really care.

EDIT: She was represented as a pea-brained sex object, no "wokeness" about that. But have always liked that image.

Woke-ism is coming to an end soon. Keep the Boop avatar.

Being kind to others is a good thing. Feeding their mental illness... is not.

My personal opinion only: If someone is offended by a cartoon character, they really need get a life. No one ever said that you have a right to not be offended.

In fact, I think I'm going to set Betty Boop as my avatar on Microsoft just to see what happens

Just curious but wasn't Betty Boop painted on the nose of a World War 2 bomber? There were a number of such type paintings back then, all part of our history.

Completely agree! Its like someone getting offended at a username thats been accepted everywhere for years and all of a sudden becomes an issue to one

I can only dream. Back in the day, I thought I was one hot little number in my hot pants and go-go boots and might could have given Betty a run for the money. Alas, she stayed the same while I....didn't. Betty became my alter ego. Her face and other parts are on things all over my house whereas there's been no pictures taken of me in 40 years.

Uh....Yeah. I figured that out pretty quick. That's why I'm here. I've never been known as the sensitive type either. The only time I get upset is if you kick my dog. She's a -su.
