Windows 11
Hi
Since about a month or so I lose my internet about once a week, after restarting my PC it works normal for about a week again. It is wired internet, no wifi, and of course Windows 11. This never happened in Windows 10 or in the beginning of 11 so it must be something with a update to do?

Any ideas what I can do to fix it?

There are a whole lot of reasons you could look connectivity. ARP, DNS, missing routes just to name a few. I would start by checking for driver updates as that tends to be the culprit often.

You can try the basic testing with the following Powershell command
Test-NetConnection

-or-

More advanced
Test-NetConnection -InformationLevel Detailed

Get-TroubleshootingPack -Path C:\Windows\diagnostics\system\Networking\ | Invoke-TroubleshootingPack
At the Instance ID screen just hit enter then follow the prompts. 'Web Connectivity' should be adequate

Once a week might point to the router rebooting maybe? check the router log before assuming it's a Windows issue, may be the ISP doing an automatic reboot.

Run this command: ipconfig /all

If you see the words "Lease Expires" then your PC is getting a DHCP (dynamic) IP address assigned from the router. The lease might be valid for one week before expiring. Normally your PC should automatically renew the lease, and you don't notice anything.

Whenever you reboot, a new DHCP lease gets requested. If the router was provided by your ISP, work with them to make sure it's properly configured.

Thank you everyone!

I ran the ipconfig /all but did not see Lease Expires. When the problem happens it say something about DNS. I will try to find something to update now.

It just happened again, it doesn´t say something about DNS as I said earlier today, it say ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED.
There was no drivers that needed to be updated and I Googled the error name and it suggested maybe a virus so I checked now, no virus or malware.
