Macrium reflect 8 lic expired so I am on my own regarding reading contents of image file.

I wanted to finish the thread I began. Very simply I had corruption within my operating system because when I reinstalled the function of drilling down for a file from the Macrium Image was very easy.

Thank you for replying what fixed your issue. For anyone finding this thread
If you have Macrium 8 or 8.1 installed, there's no need to use recovery media to just copy some files from inside the image.
1. Connect the drive where your image is stored.
2. From within Windows, Right click on the image file. Select "explore image" from the right click context menu. (If you do not see explore image, select "open with" and choose Macrium Reflect
3. You should then see the screen like Bree and Josey Wales posted above. It will assign a drive letter.
4. After you have finished copying files, right click on the drive letter. Select Macrium Reflect from the context menu. Select Unmount Image.

Sorry to express my exasperation to some members. When you are supposed to accomplish something and are the only maverick, it is frustrating.
All's well that ends well. And yes there is more than one way to locate a needed file. You'd think after 84 years I would get the knack of diplomacy.
