Hello I am a new member and if anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated. Two days ago my Chrome browser and Windows Settings are now managed by your ogrganisation I did not do this, I have tried many suggestions from Google but no change in setting my diaognistic Data and Inking are off and I cannot turn them on I tried the registry settings and Group Policy setting in Adminastrative templates and no changes that I can see. So if anyone as a solution or anyideas I would be gratful to hear them.
Thank You.

Hello and welcome to the forum. When you say windows settings, this is unclear to me. Could you please clarify what setting now shows managed by organization. Is it all settings? A screenshot would be helpful. Also exactly where do you see that Chrome is managed by organization. Does Edge work correctly for you?

By the way, thank you for entering your computer specs in such detail on your forum profile. If only everyone would do the same.

Unless your computer is a corporate machine (or managed by a different administrator) - you're the organization - as in - some setting made by yourself or an app you installed. It's a confusing line (the organization part) - but it just means this setting was made in admin mode (which is usually the case on most Windows machines - very loose on giving/managing your admin privileges - especially if a 3rd party app is involved). That beings said - did you use some 3rd party app (like O&O ShutUp10) - which is suppose to disable Windows Spyware/Telemetry?

If so, there's plenty of guides on how to revert this changes, such as:

Yep, most definitely. Some of this apps actually access/change GP settings via registry.

Per Google, there can be only three reasons why Chrome is showing you that message .

  • Your Chrome is actually managed by your organization using group policy.
  • A malware, adware or an app has injested unknown policy or a profile in Chrome.
  • You’ve enabled or disabled specific feature such as Incognito Mode, Guest Mode, or others.
Keep in mind this refers to any browser extensions you have installed or ANY 3rd party software.
Eliminate malware by using Malwarebytes Free. It will give you the real time premium version for 14 days after which, if you do nothing, will automatically revert to the free version(which you have to run manually) Free Antivirus 2023 | Download Free Antivirus for All Devices
