Edge 136.0.3240.92 update has been spinning without any results, just keeps spinning and getting nowhere. I shut Windows 24H2 rebooted the modem and nothing has changed.

You can try going into settings/all apps then click on the 3 dots next to EDGE and choose modify then repair.

Gave it a shot. It downloaded Edge and reinstalled, but no luck. I also disabled all extensions and same issue. But thanks for your help I learned something new which I appreciate very much. Same here, just continuous rotation without results.
It's reassuring that it's not an individual problem.

According to the release schedule, Edge 137 should be released tomorrow (May 29th) on the stable channel.
It is possible that this will also include the fix.

I manually updated Edge to 137.0.3296.52 on my PC, problem with update continues. I went into Windows Services and looked at the Microsoft Edge Update service. It's set to start automatically with delay, but it wasn't started. When I tried to manually start it, it started and abruptly stopped within seconds. Could this be the issue?

I just noticed this - if you just go into Settings, and then Click on About Edge, it says that Edge is up to date with no spinning wheel.

Workaround:
On edge://settings/help page click on update (Ctrl+R) and you will get a blue check mark. Provided you are not currently downloading an update.

Also getting this same spinning, but oddly on only 1 Windows 11 computer out of 5. The other 4 are having no problems at all with Edge updating. Relying on UniGetUI to update the problem Edge unless MS finally sobers wakes up and fixes it.

For those of you seeing the spinning update, which of the two different settings menu do you see that I've doumented here -

MS Edge: Settings Menu Variations

I have spinning wheels on 2 out of 8 user accoumts, and it's just these 2 that have the short settings menu, the other 6 have the long so I'm wondering if the two issues are related.
