Hello:
I have recently migrated to Windows 11 from Windows 10, and a problem migrated along with it.
I use a very sophisticated media player (J River Media Center 34), and until a couple of days ago, the program would launch at startup with no issues. However, on that day, the player displayed an error message related to display dysfunction.
I found out the developers use a program called Microsoft Edge View Runtime 2 to display streaming content.
The weird issue (and I'm not even sure it's a huge issue) is that if I disable the Media Center from auto startup, and open it manually after the system boots and is loaded, then the display functions are fine. Enabling auto start, the same error occurs.
Also, I can't see Microsoft Edge View Runtime 2, in Apps, Control Panel, Programs and Features or in Task Manager.
I confirmed that the program (Microsoft Edge View Runtime 2 is installed, but it seems corrupted.
I have tried all the tweaks, reinstallation, registry edits to make the program show up, etc.
I've also reinstalled the media center program, no joy.
It's a minor thing, I suppose, but I was hoping that a "new" system would correct the issue.
There are no other issues with apps or programs in the OS.
Here is the thread on the developer for the media site.
Thanks for any input.
