I would advise you not to proceed if you’re concerned about such things and need to ask these questions. I don’t know what that file is but then again I have no desire to download unreleased versions of Office.
I would suggest you do some research via a search engine.
Also, you already asked this question re downloading this in the news post about Office 2024 LTSC

I installed this from the MS site and it installed OK but when I went to add the activation key from the same site it said that the above version wasn't installed. and only shows my Office 365 license. Oh well never mind.

I installewd this on a VM. I deleted the VM and installed a new Win 11 LTSC trial and then istalled
setup.exe /configure configuration-office365-x64.xml
This istalled fine but when I went put in the keycode from the MS site I got something like "The is product key is for licensed volume versdion of MS Office LTSC Profesional Plus 2024 Preview which isn't curently installed"
My view of Office 2024 LTSC is it would be interesting to have a look at where MS are going with all this? Yes it would be.
BUT
Do I really need this right now? I'm a retired IT manager who doesn't use the Office apps much anymore. So, I don't really need it.
And having just read the full install and activation page on the Microsoft website, I am more convinced this currently isn't worth the time and effort. Finally I'm very fussy what software I install on my computer. Early versions of major software like Office 2024 for me isn't worth playing with.
On the page mentioned above MS correctly advise:
Use preview products only for testing purposes. For example, to familiarize yourself with deploying preview products and using the new features in the Office apps. Preview products shouldn’t be used in your normal production environment or on a production device.
