Hi,
Prior to the most recent update, 22623.1250, the game bar would launch with my most recent games at the top of the active screen. (Sorry no screenshot.) Now, I get the game bar menu:

I've tried turning on and off the game bar in Settings-Gaming-Xbox Game bar to no avail. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I removed Game Bar as I do not use or play any XBOX Games. If you play Steam games all of that XBOX stuff can be removed, Steam or Blizzard game will run much better. I also turn off all of the stuff under settings/Gaming. YMMV.

I'll have to give it a try. I was spoiled being able to launch Elden Ring from the game bar. What "stuff" do you turn off under settings/Gaming? I have game bar and then Game Mode. Seems like I'd want to keep Game Mode.

I've opened the bar and the default setting for the controller bar shows 'open CB using the X button not over a game. See if you can open it this way and change setting?

You have to delete it. Or it will not work. I used an app called O&O Appbuster.
