Windows 11
Greetings,

I need a help with win 11. Updated from win 10 pro (with tpm2 card and i7 6600k).
In task manger I have more than 780 WerFault.exe processes.
Also I have a lot (every couple of minutes) of events with 2 errors code:
The server {1F87137D-0E7C-44D5-8C73-4EFFB68962F2} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
The server {06622D85-6856-4460-8DE1-A81921B41C4B} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

The main problem I cannot install or uninstall any program.
1. I tried msiexec unregister / register
2. sfc + chkdsk
3. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
4. grand full access to all users (admin...) to 1F87137D-0E7C-44D5-8C73-4EFFB68962F2
5. When disabling Windows Error Reporting Service:
5.1 a lot of programs faults to start (serviio server...)
5.2 Partially Install and Uninstall start, but cannot finish (stuck)
5.3 When running msi file : Windows Installer Access Denied Error
6. Tried Fix Windows Installer Access Denied Error

All this didn't helped.
The Windows 10 image lost (when tried to repair win11 install)

I cannot do a clean install due to of loosing special program install.

Any suggestion??

Welcome to the forum.
Try these suggestions and report back.

See if the werfault.exe issue still occurs in clean boot. Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 11 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Tutorial If it doesn't occur follow the instructions at the beginning of the tutorial to narrow down the culprit.

Also, see if you can install or uninstall an app while in clean boot.

In start search box, type 'reliability' In results open reliability history. In the graph you should see some red x's. You can double click on one and more information about the fault appears at the bottom. Possibly it can give you some info to lead in the right direction.

I would also scan for malware (Malwarebytes). Even after a repair install, malware could have followed if it was attached to something in your user profile.

The Windows 10 image lost (when tried to repair win11 install)
I don't understand what this means. Are you saying you did a repair install? Did it succeed? That would be the next step before a clean install (if you haven't done it already). If you no longer have the .iso, download it again using the media creation tool. Use the iso option within the tool.
Media creation tool- You can also restore a system image if you have one.
Good luck!

1. Clean boot - the same instead 860+ i got 820+ events
2. reliability (RAC) - not working, event entering directly from control panel (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance).
Also no entry of RAC in Task Scheduler
3. Safe boot - no WerFaults events
4. "Repair install" - install win11 from the working windows (keeping data+progs)
5. Tried to make boot from USB with install (error: processor not supported)

Safe boot - no WerFaults events. Clean boot - the same instead 860+ i got 820+ events

Clean boot tells you whether or not software is the issue so if the errors still occurred it points away from software. While in safe boot, can you successfully navigate into the areas that were giving you problems in normal boot? Were you able to install/uninstall an app in safe boot? If so, this indicates to me your issue is probably an incompatible or corrupt driver rather than software or Windows causing the problem.

I am going to tag @zbook so he can analyze your logs and advise you further.

Sorry, I did not notice you were running an incompatible CPU. In order to successfully upgrade (ie repair install) or clean install windows 11, the .iso will need to be altered. In safe boot i can run install or uninstall.
After upgrading to 11, TeamViewer cannot start. In safe boot, i tried to reinstall with no success (hangs in the end, cannot run the server).
Also in safe mode when execute msi files i got an error, while in normal it's not opens.

Did you tried
Code:
sfc /scannow

what was the result?

For repair install don't run Windows install from USB. Mount the ISO and run it in Windows - otherwise you could loose your programs

You seem to be getting this error repeatedly in the system log -

The APC PBE Agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

And in the apps log this message is occurring continuously, with hundreds having the same timestamp -

Event provider SQLServerEventProvider attempted to register query "select * from DROP_PLAN_GUIDE" whose target class "DROP_PLAN_GUIDE" in //./ROOT/Microsoft/SqlServer/ServerEvents/SQLEXPRESSEFILM namespace does not exist. The query will be ignored.

Looks like this second message is from an application rather than Windows?

One more thing to try, so you could do repairs.

Open services (click on Win key and type services - right click on it and select run as administrator

Scroll down and select Windows error reporting... right click on it and select disable.

AndreTen,

when the WerSvc service disabled even what worked with it - no longer works. (example: serviio service)

glasskuter

Only "simple" programs can be removed in safe mode, otherwise i got an error

APC PBE Agent - Cannot run service in normal mode, therefor you can see an error.

You can not do a repair install from safe boot.
After upgrading to 11, TeamViewer cannot start
Maybe we are getting somewhere. Only TeamViewer 15.22 or later will work in Windows 11. What version are you using? This would also account for sql server errors. I'm puzzled by why you still saw the errors in clean boot though. Did you disable all but MS services as per the instruction in the clean boot tutorial?

Sorry, I am out of ideas. Exactly WHAT program do you have that keeps you from doing a clean install? You may have no alternative to get this straightened out.

Yes, that is the nature of a clean install and it's a pain, but sometimes it can't be helped. This is why so many of us here promote having a backup plan in place. An image restore takes only a few minutes to get everything working again when something messes up.

If you choose to go that route, since your cpu is incompatible, be sure to prepare installation media as per my post #4.
