Hello...Im having strange issue with mouse recently and I belive its fault of win11 itself. I hope someone could help me somehow since everything I tried is a no solution.

I want to mention that I switched from win10 to win11 and there was no issue at all with mouse sensitivity on win10 yet now win11 playing pranks.

So basically it looks like this:
- turning on pc and wait till desktop ofcourse and all programs autorun --> mouse sensitivity is ok like it should be (I can drag circles around desktop around with sensitivity just like it should be)
- then after a while of cricling the sensitivity drops to about half since my "circle" takes half of desktop space
(if that explanation makes sense at all I hope).
- and it stays like that till I make no movement of mouse for a while
-then after a while of not moving lets say 5 mins I can move mouse right like on first time sensitivity...
(and its not like I am moving mouse differently I move it all time the same pattern and speed - roughly ofcourse)

Its like mouse is being trying to clamp sensitivity while I use it for a period of time and then gradually unclamp it to previous original sensitivity. ( so for example 3-5 seconds of "circling on desktop" then drops.

I am out of ideas how to fix it...
and its not fault of mouse for sure ive been using it for years and all was good on win 10....so its win11 fault for sure
Nothing has been changed in terms of hardware and software - its all the same as it was on win10.

things I tried and no success ofcourse:

-testing different mouse
-unplug plug current mouse into different usbs then check
-reinstalling drivers of mouse ofcourse.
-removing stock drivers and ghost devices of mouse and keyboard of win11 in dev manager
- off/on enhance pointer precision in settings. (ive alwasy had it off since win10)
- changing settings "smoothmouseX-Ycurve" in registry HKCU\Control panel\mouse to all zeros and to settings from this link
impossible to have smooth mouse control? ( theres the same solution on pcgamingwiki some page)
-fresh reinstall

Rather than using settings app, open control panel, select mouse. Try tweaking mouse settings there, specifically settings under the pointer tab.

Which mouse model? Does it come with software of its own?
no. its Steelseries Rival 110

Ive done that already. I usually have reg backup that I always import to HKCU\Control panel\mouse... Ive been doing this all time when I reinstall windows and always been good and no issues samesenitivity on win10 yet win11 seems picky.

How old is the mouse? Did you install Bring your gear to life | Engine by SteelSeries - to check for firmware updates?

Also check the DPI. What you describe - sounds like the DPI keeps switching to a lower value.
no I didnt install at any point any software never in win7 win10 nor 11 thats related to hardware...no any ligthing stuff no any mobo updates nor drivers from disk that came with mobo...only thing I always do after reinstall was gpu driver downloaded from nvidia....stripped to minimum...and thats rather not the case too since its the same driver as win10. so basically issue is pure switch of os....and I suppose its some setting win11 that I dont know about...DPI isnt the issue too because I checked. mouse have 2 modes high and low. on both DPI behavior is the same....same slowdown on high and low DPI.

Mouse is about from 2018 iirc I bought whole pc set back then.

Not a fun of SteelSeries software either (to use it actively), but for firmware installs - it's the only options. Also, while troubleshooting an issue it's always worth to test all the available options. Maybe their software was optimized to handle Windows 11 build 24H2 better. Which reminds me, build 24H2 had a lot of issue on release - and some issues still linger around (unsolved yet). But same issues don't apply to Build 23H2 (slightly different kernel/flavor) - which is still supported till the end of the year (and personally i'm still sticking to 23H2 for now). So hey, maybe it's worst switching back to Win 10 till end of the year (end of support) - if only that one works the way you want it.

Another thing you could try:

It's a 52 KB software, very lite on resources - created to solve exactly an issue like yours. Don't have this issue so hard to say if it actually works - but it's worth trying it (seeing it was updated last month).

It's safe too: VirusTotal (checked it just now).

Checked the software you suggested and unfotunately not a fix...behavior still the same as it was before . with takeownership and with run as admin both portable and normal exe and restarted pc multiple times with autorun...stilll the same thing.

But appreciate the try.
