MS Office Cursors vs. Windows

For those of us who change mouse cursors in Windows...on one of mine I literally had to do it because I couldn't get a size between tiny and giant. However, Microsoft Office doesn't use Windows cursors...they seem to have their own based on the basic Windows white mouse cursor theme. Is there anyway to get MS Office to use my Windows 11 mosue cursor theme?

For experimenting about the issue, which version of Office? I have 2010, 2013 and 2016 on different machines and 2000 on one older Notebook, all running Win10. LibreOffice Writer on the Win11 I'm on now uses the same mouse pointer such as on here.

MS Office 2021...but I've noticed the issue on both prior versions of Windows (i.e. 10) and Office (2016, 2019, etc.). The selected Windows theme, similar to the screenshot you posted, works until you move the cursor over a sheet (Word), or an e-mail (Outlook). Then it reverts to a standard white cursor.

Just checked my Word 16 [Office 2016] on Win10 Pro Notebook and the mouse pointer on the Ribbon is the same as in other program but not inside a document, same for Word 15 [Office 2013] on a Win10 Pro Desktop. Don't have an installed version of Office on a Win11 Pro Notebook nor Desktop.

Yep...exactly...I was curious if there's a fix for the pointer inside a document or e-mail.

I've not seen much about it posted but don't know whether it is actually broken. I've had most versions since Word 6/Office 4.3 since the mid '90s.
