Every time I start an Office application I get a sequence of Event 300 errors like shown. Any ideas what causes this?

No, but did you try to repair it via settings apps installed apps and search for office

Are you having any issues with the apps or are you just concerned with Event Viewer? If the latter, do yourself a favor and stay out of event viewer. Most of what you see there is benign.
