There are several ways to can try to correct this without a clean install. It requires crating a new account. Since you are not verified it may not let you, but try these solutions in order. Once you get one solution to work STOP.
First backup any personal files that are important to you. COPY files from your old account and PASTE to a flash drive or external hard drive.
Solution #1 Create a new local user account as administrator
- Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
- Next to Add other user, select Add account.
- Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
- Enter a user name, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.
Then change the new local user account to an administrator account
Select
Start > Settings > Accounts .
- Under Family & other users, select the account owner name (you should see "Local account" below the name), then select Change account type.
Under Account type, select Administrator, and then select OK.
- Sign out of your account and sign into the new account.
Solution #2 Enable hidden administrator account from command prompt
1. Open command prompt as administrator and type
net user administrator /active:yes
2. Sign out of your account and sign in with the new administrator account. Once you are signed in,
go back to Solution #1 and create a new local administrator account.
Solution #3 Enable Hidden Administrator account using installation media
Remove installation media and reboot Windows. Signin to hidden administrator account. Once you are signed in,
go back to Solution #1 and create a new local administrator account. Log out of hidden administrator account and log in to newly created local account.
Once you have created a new local administrator account using any of these methods, COPY and PASTE your files into the new user account. If you want to change to a MS Account using your CORRECT email address you can go to settings-accounts and click change to Microsoft Account.
Once your new account is like you want it to be, delete the old account. Also disable the hidden administrator account by opening command prompt as administrator and typing
net user administrator /active:no
If none of these work, you will need to do a clean install of Windows. Clean Install Windows 11
