Windroid 11 Pro / Win 10 Pro
No matter what I do, Edge will not "clear cookies and other site data" on exit even though I checked the box with those exact words next to it.

So, I set a new start/home page. edge://settings/siteData

It saves a little time as I have to manually clear cookies and data every single forking time I start the browser.

I have 4 browsers in all, each has it's own purpose. I use Edge when I want to leave a clear digital trail.

The latter, no I can not. Why are the settings there if they don't work? I've even put a few like bing.com on the block list and Edge still stores cookies and site data from them until I manually remove it.

When I open a webpage with Edge, a lot of identifying information is transferred not only to the website but also to my isp and M.$.

This is not the same information collected and shared by a tracking cookie. I don't need the website to know where I've been, only to know where am I accessing it from.

If someone gets my name and pass and makes a purchase on amazon it will throw up red flags because it's not coming from my PC. I will also be able to easily dispute the transaction because all of my Amazon purchases come from a single machine id, browser fingerprint and static ip assigned to me by my ISP which also gets all the relevant info.

Edge will clear many "cookies and site data" on exit but not the ones M.$ chooses, against the user wishes, not too. Google and MSN cookies/data are examples of that. They stay unless you manually clear them.
