For some reason, my HDD is not being shown as a disk drive in My PC and when I go to Devices in Windows Settings, it shows underneath it "Driver is unavailable"
I'm not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Things I've tried:
1. Uninstalled driver - restarted pc - still doesn't work
2. Searched for updates - no updates found
3. Unplugged and re-plugged - doesn't work still
4. Restarted pc a few times - doesn't work still

Update: I ended up fixing the issue by watching a YouTube video. I'll link it below so if anyone in the future has the same issue, they can watch it as well. So, pretty much I guess the hard drive didn't have a partition, and I had to assign it in disk management (video explains this lol).

Don't worry about "driver missing" for this device. This really only matters if you are using WD's Drive Security Encryption feature, for which you would have to install the software called WD Security. (it is downloadable for free from manufacturer's website). And even for that it is not critical.

The drive will still work as a mass storage device as any other external hard drive would.

What you should check instead, is Disk management (right click on start menu) and see if you can see the partitions of your external hdd there. Maybe they are missing the drive letter which you can add easily there
