I have a new touch screen, win 11, 27inch computer.

My program fades to ‘Please tap the screen’ after only a minute.

Tapping the screen will bring my program back.

I don’t mind if it fades after 5 or 10 minutes, but not after one.

I have tried the ‘Screen and Sleep’ and ‘Choose when to turn off the display’ options To Never or 5 hours but still reverts to 0ne minute.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks, RicoAust

Have you checked the OSD settings in the monitor itself? There's usually some buttons near the power switch such as Menu, etc. My Touch screen monitor requires a USB connection, maybe check that power on the computer?

Please explain what you mean. I cannot see over your shoulder from here. Post a photo if it helps.

As Berton suggests, it might have nothing to do with Windows at all. It might be some built-in function in your new monitor.

It's a bit of a shot in the dark but you might mean that the display dims but does not go blank after a period of inactivity and returns to its normal brightness if you start using the keyboard or mouse once more. This function is generally referred to as Dim display after.
See these methods of stopping this behaviour
Add or Remove Dim display after from Power Options - TenForumsTutorials
Add or Remove Dimmed display brightness from Power Options - TenForumsTutorials
or you can change the dimming behaviour directly using PowerCfg commands, see
my ditty - Use PowerCfg commands to turn off Dim display after [post #16] - TenForums
I'd expect it to be exactly the same in Windows 11.

Best of luck,
Denis

Thanks for all the prompt replies.
This computer is in our village clubhouse.
Walking up there to check on some of your suggestions, the words 'Screen Saver' came to mind.
Sure enough, when I got there it was set from new to one minute.
Thanks again, RicoAust
