I've used both and had about the same performance out of them so can't really recommend one over the other... I do however recommend that whatever you pick, it's safer to not mix the drives... try to stick with same brand if using multiple drives... (different sizes depends on what the NAS is)

Thank you, @Archigos for responding. I'm considering a Linux based OS storage system with an older computer I have laying around the house. I think a minimum of 2 same size HDD to begin with.
