Hi
This is the MoBo I want to buy
Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX motherboard AMD X670 Socket AM5 ATX
It says it supports up to 8000
YouTube says sweet spot for DDR5 is 6000
And Amazon's reviews say use 5200
Can anyone help please?
Thanks
YouTube says anything above 6400 crashWhatever frequency you pick... get the RAM with the lowest CAS Latency (CL)
Ok thank you I will go back and read it againI explained this in depth in your topic about 2 weeks ago.
Thank youMake sure it is compatible with your motherboard via the MSI QVL list. Or if Crucial uipplies such.
I have similar memory type (2x48 6800 MT/s CL 36) for my Intel system. The RAM chips are denser than smaller capacity sets (3GB vs 2GB per chip), so they are a little more difficult to clock - 5400 MT/s should be fine if they are compatible. CAS latency is a it high though for that speed.
Thank you
So 5400 but what CL ? CL32?
Thank you so muchWhatever frequency you pick... get that frequency RAM with the lowest CAS Latency.
If you decide on 5600Mhz... get the 5600Mhz RAM with the lowest CAS Latency.
Just like I linked in the previous topic...
RAM Configurator - G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd.
Find compatible memory kits for your motherboard. Just select the motherboard from the dropdown list and click on Search for a list of compatible G.SKILL memory kits.www.gskill.com
I would recommend GSkill RAM at 5600Mhz.
