Hi there
Done all the right things (SMB1 etc etc) -- File explorer fails to find NAS server --- 3rd party (Free program) Filezilla has no problem.

Why is it easier to win the Lottery than to get Windows Networking to function seamlessly and correctly.

When you figure it out, let me know.

I can find and use my NAS over SMB, but none of my Windows machines can find my router SMB share for some odd reason. I can however connect to it by manually typing the address/network name.

Mea Culpa -- By me -- I had the wrong WORKGROUP name -- seems initially you can't change default workgrop name from the default name WORKGROUP but after re-boot etc then it's changeable.

All working now - although why Windows file explorer can't show computers on LAN if they have a different workgroup name seems bonkers to me -- so long as the computer names themselves aren't identical. !! KODI on my amazon firestick on remote TV shows the computers up with both Workgroup names - but file explorer doesn't.

Anyway changing workgroup name -- file explorer shows network computers again OK.

Aah that was this kind of issue. This happens too sometimes. Glad it worked out for you.
