Hi,
I have two routers. My main one is an Asus rt-ax88u that most of my devices are connected to, wired and Wifi, and is plugged into my internet provider.

My second router is an Asus rt-ax58u and is plugged into the first router via an ethernet cable and has my VPN installed on it so all devices connected to that router is routed through my VPN.

I recently installed two SSDs to the USB on the first router as network drives. These connect and map to local drive letters perfectly on the computer using the first router.

My question is, some of my devices and computers I only want going through the VPN router. Is there a way to still access the network drives connected to the first router on a computer connected to the VPN router via some settings without exposing the drives to the internet?

Thanks! Any help is appreciated.

If a computer is connected to the same LAN as the shared drives are on via the VPN, then they should be accessible to those computers. When I connect to my VPN (OpenVPN) remotely, my NAS is available to my computer - however, I must use it's LAN IP address to attach to it, it's share name won't work for some reason. My NAS gets a static IP address from my router so it always at 192.168.1.15.
