Last night I wanted to use a Answer file "AutoUnattend.xml" just to partition the hard drive and create a unattended install. Before that I had used these registry hacks:
And before testing I put Autounattend.xml in my boot directory which had all the drive partitioning and everything exactly like Kari's description on Windows 10 forums. then I created a ISO using NTLite when I loaded the ISO in VM Workstation it didn't show a screen that said "Where do you want to install windows?" Does the old AutoUnattend have to have x86 instead amd64? Has anybody else ran into this? How did you solve it? John
Code:
DISM /Mount-Wim /wimfile:S:\Wimfiles\boot.wim /index:2 /mountdir:M:\Mount
>reg load HKLM\TEMP M:\Mount\Windows\System32\config\SYSTEM
reg add HKLM\TEMP\Setup /v "CmdLine" /t REG_SZ /d "X:\\sources\\setup.exe" /f
reg unload HKLM\TEMP<br>DISM /Unmount-Wim /mountdir:M:\Mount /commit
