Look....

There are only so many ways someone can hack a computer.
You block those... you're good.

Install Windows with NO internet connection... is a good start.

IF... your BIOS gets infected and flashing the BIOS won't clean it... then the device or at minimum the motherboard, needs replaced.

As someone mentioned... there have been various news items about router's firmware being infected.

And last but not least... once you GET infected... a good hacker can infect the firmware of any of the devices in or hooked to, your computer.

I agree but I have questions.
Can the router get that deeply infected without direct contact with another person? It belongs to Spectrum anyway so if it is I can just have them replace it.
I dont think my BIOS is infected though. My computer is protected by HP to the extent that it automatically reinstalls the original operating system as soon as I use diskpart to wipe the disk clean and it asks for an internet connection within the hour. I am not saying it could not be though.
Oh and it was not hooked to the internet when it started changing either. I knew better than that. Is that unbelievable? I will let you in the system and fire it back up and you may be able to watch them go back at it. I should say however that I think they were in the pipeline when Microsoft was downloading it though and they are pulling it off through some form of pawn they managed to inject during that process. It took 2 hours to download and get the system up again.

Please repost with more information, including why you are using remote desktop and to whom you have given permission to access your computer.

That is the thing. I have never used remote desktop. I have never given anyone permission to use my system. No one has even ever borrowed it. I also do not even own a printer. I mostly download books to read.

All of this crap is what makes this so frustrating. The only thing I have ever done for someone to have a grudge against me is call people out on X. I like being honest and upfront. I simply refuse to back down due to threats, attempted blackmaill or anything else. It seems a whole hell of a lot of people like to wear a mask these days. Not the medical kind. The personality kind. My son got upset with me because I verified my identity on X. I told him I had to. No one has any reason to listen to anyone that refuses to show who they are. Earlier someone asked what made me so special. Nothing at all.

I am going to figure out how to post a picture of mt device manager and my directory if I can still get into it. I have had the blasted thing shut down for several hours now. Anything else that may help? Now they have turned Windows Hello off. Great.

No doubt. I did find out a bit more though. I decided to check my phone and found a 948 page guide of Windows Server commands and a 100 page manual for something called RS916 ccl- connectivity module. I also discovered the network encryption was turned off on my computer and my daughters as well.

Well fellas. I have now lost my phone and emails. The "have I been pwned website tells me yes I have been pwned. On Sept 22. The internet archive breach. I got a lot of books from there. I feel a little better that it is now seeming to not be anyone around me but I am not sure yet.
Does anyone know if diskpart will clean the drive completely. The last time I erased all the volumes and just happened to ask it to list partitions and it found a very small one. 16MB I think. I can get it cleaned again I believe but how can I circumvent this if it is not local? I know you would say a fresh windows install downloaded from someone elses computer but that has not worked a single time in the last week. It stops and when I read the logs it claims my system cannot be identified. The cloud download does fine however as does the HP cloud recovery but I never got on the net after it finished and it still got in or hid somewhere. They or it is taking complete control. It keeps changing me to a domain and uses my print server to make new files. It has total control over the firewall as well. It had disabled encrypted communications and logging. I did save some logs files from my daughters firewall but I am not fluent in computerese. I will include them below.I do not know if it will show anything for sure but I hope it gives some idea at least.

I didn't read anywhere that you did change the router's pwd? Spectrum prints the SSID, Username, and pwd on a sticker on the router. I'll let you guess the possible problems.

I shouldn't jump in but "what the hell" right. Someone needs to remove Chuck 555 as this is just insane anymore.
Apparently he/she needs to buy a new computer/router or pay a visit to the local constable and report all this.
If that does not work, plenty of medical facilities out there willing to assist.
Please stop wasting these good peoples time as they are truly committed to assisting other that have valid problems that need solving.

Mr Chuck, you could have protected yourself and two children with their own computers ...I'm just baffled in this day and age that you wouldn't even know this at 56 yrs of age...

Yes we changed the router password. Next, please excuse me for asking some people I had hoped would be professional and took pride in doing what they like. Lastly, I activated and hid some logs and finally got some solid info. They are using Azure services, are likely a developer and their last name is Jenkins. I have left azure and Microsoft messages to contact me. The police are next. Thanks a whole bunch for your oh so high and mighty talk. I left the hacker a note on the desktop telling them I really did not want to get them hit with charges but to please stop. If they wanted to prove they are smart play me some chess or if they have a beef grow a damn spine and confront me directly instead of doing cowardly harassment. I enjoy a challenge but programming has never been something I enjoy. Physics, Cosmology, Philosophy and Esoteric Mysticism yes, manga and comics as well but not this. I just thought I might find some real people. Thanks anyway.

That's the problem with youngsters - never want to learn .

We keep passwords on everything. This happened while I was downloading the upgrade to W11. Everything went downhill from there until today. Finding that they did not notice I had hidden the real logs was luck probably. They had gone as far as to disable access to the built in admin completely. Even the cmd screen cannot activate it or more likely there is a command I am unaware of. This is on my daughters. Hers is just vanilla 11 mine is pro. so it is easier to control access. Just to get the message across I renamed the system hi2jenkins. They are likely letting a machine do the work and not paying personal attention though.
