Friends and followers
You now have the option of following someone or becoming friends with them. Following someone is a one-way connection, allowing you to stay updated with their shared content. Friendships are reciprocal, invite-approved relationships.
Your current connections will be updated accordingly. You’ll remain friends with players who have also added you as a friend, and you’ll continue following anyone who hasn't yet.
Search improvements
These improvements help players find the right game for them using conversational language. This new search update returns relevant results for queries such as "cozy farming games with fishing", "FPS games with zombies", or “puzzle games for kids”. These updates can also handle misspellings, acronyms, synonyms, and other variations much better than traditional search services.
Tray performance improvements
To improve application performance for all Xbox players, we have updated the Xbox app’s tray process and related settings. While the app is running in the tray, you will see improved launch times of the app and minimal system resource consumption.
Events in game hubs
You can now find the latest events happening in your favorite games right from the game hub. Just look for the News and events section of the game hub after clicking on any game in your library. Join in on what is happening right now or set a notification for an event coming soon!
Share your game summary
Click on your Last session from within the game hub and you’ll find a session summary in the form of a sharable image perfect for sharing to your favorite social channels.
Bug Fixes
Resolved a bug where install percentages were going over 100% for games that were paused in the install queue.
Fixed a bug where the Install button was missing from the install modal when text scaling was increased.
Resolved an issue where longer gamertags were being cut off when shown on the side bar.
Fixed a bug where the News and events section was not loading on game hubs in some instances.
Resolved an issue where box art was sometimes not showing properly in the Jump back in section when going from offline mode to online mode.
