hi i lost internet completely on my windows 11 desktop. it does not even show an icon. checked router, my other computers have internet. it may be internal. it is wireless. please help. thank you pothound

Go to Settings/ Troubleshoot/ Other Troubleshooters: Now Run Internet Connections (1st Option in that list).

i did the troubleshooting. i checked the device manager, and the wireless adaptor is working properly. all the test tell me, they do not recognize the hardware. sounds serious. is there anything else i can check? thank you pothound

Check the BIOS setup utility to make sure network card not disabled.

i spent 4 hours with microsoft tech. could not pin point the problem. i did ipconfig /all and noticed [ip routing enabled no] wins proxy enabled no]. could this be a problem? in the bios, i found network stack disabled? is this right? msi bios uefi. could not see setup utility in the bios. i still have the problem i tried running windows 11 on usb drive, and it was not recognized. thank you pothound

since there is no internet, i need to figure how to get a picture of ipconfig /all to you. i will work on that. i suspect a hardware problem. i have no internet, no sound, no power to usb ports. just a thought. thank you pothound

If you say you've also lost power to the USB ports, and sound has stopped working too, it seems like a wider power problem than just the internet connection. Could be the power supply to the MB has partially failed?

hi i went to services, set dhcp to automatic but it would not start. i got an error window error 1068 the dependancy service failed to start. not a good day. thank you

My I suggest that you do a Network Reset.

Settings => Network & Internet => Advanced Network Settings =>scroll down on the right side and click on Network Reset =>click on Reset Now to complete the reset and reboot.

i tried that once before. after trying other test i thought i would try it again. still no results. i seriously think i have a hardware problem. i built this computer 2 years ago. i worked great. isuspect my seasonic power supply, or my msi motherboard. i lost power to internet circuit and usb ports and sound adapter. i don't know what else to do.
Use attached batch script to reset TCP/IP protocol.
without internet how can i do this? is it in the services? thank you pothound
