Create a partition out of the unallocated space, label it STORAGE , assign it a drive letter, and you will see that drive letter in explorer.

Consider

a) cleaning disk 3 after testing boots of each disk 0 and 2 without attached drives.

b) deleting any orphaned recovery partitions on disk 0

I often see up to six or more instances of the same UEFI USB Boot drive, I just assume it has something to do with some sort of cache in the BIOS. Clicking on any one of them still boots to it.

If that Drive 3 isn’t an OS drive anymore, why don’t you delete all partitions and reclaim the space on it?

If it’s more comfortable for you, download Minitool Partition Wizard Free . Be careful that you are modifying the correct drive.
From memory, right click on the unwanted partitions on that drive and select delete. Delete all then “Apply”
Create a new partition from the new empty unallocated space, select a drive letter etc, Click “Apply”
(I’ll be at my desk in a minute)

Edit: Yes, had a look and that is the general process.

Click on all partitions on the drive and delete, for the drive that you want to create only one partition on.

(This is not the free version but what you want to do is available and the same)

Got at it this morning and cleared out everything except unallocated space then created partition etc. looks good. Good app.

Another question: why the fat 32 sections on both my SSD drives. Can I delete them. Disk 2 is the new storage drive.2024-05-21_09-40-22.png

Don’t remove that Fat 32 from an OS drive, would be my answer.

Hang on, which is your OS drive? What are disks 1, 3 and 4?
If disk 1 is your OS, I am unaware of why you have 7 partitions. Someone else will have to answer which can be removed. But don’t do anything to the OS drive until you have been informed.
Please as I just mentioned explain what drive is what?

Don’t remove that Fat 32 from an OS drive, would be my answer.

Hang on, which is your OS drive? What are disks 1, 3 and 4?
If disk 1 is your OS, I am unaware of why you have 7 partitions. Someone else will have to answer which can be removed. But don’t do anything to the OS drive until you have been informed.
Please as I just mentioned explain what drive is what?
Sorry for that; primary drive is the 2T Samsung and I would not mess with it; the 4T HHD with basically nothing on it is now just 1 partition. It got extra partitions while I was testing recoveries. The rest are what they are.

Building a new desktop on the horizon; this was definitely a budget build based on circumstances at the time.

OK, Disk 4 is the OS.
So I am curious, why are you leaving those other drives (Disk 1 & 3) as old OS drives and not doing the same to them as you did with Disk 5? (Or Disk two, I forget what you cleaned)
You can add partitions of your choice to those drives with Minitools after you clan the disks up.

With Minitools, you can just delete the partitions you are not using, if there is a partition that you are using, keep it. Once you delete the partitions you are not using, you can (right click) resize the ones you are using to take up the new unallocated space.

Because I am a chicken; I was going to delete partitions on the Disk 1 but I do have data on it. I could move the data over to a portable drive. Disk 1 was originally my primary drive but upgraded to the 2 T.
Was going to delete the unallocated partition on disk 3 but it is an important drive due to content.
Once I organize things I will have lots of spare space which is odd for me. I haven't done a lot of disk work up to now.

When you get the courage up:

- Right click on the partitions you don’t want, click delete and they will be come unallocated space, leave them as unallocated.
- Don’t do anything to the partition that has your data on it
- After deleting unwanted partitions, right click on the drive you are keeping and select “Move/Resize”
- Use the slider tool to adjust the size of the partition you are keeping, by dragging the marker across the unallocated space
- When you are happy, click “Apply”
You can perform multiple actions on your drives and then click “Apply”, everything you asked Minitools to do will then be done all together.
For example: Delete > Create > Format > Label > Click “Apply”
Everything you just asked Minitools to do will then be done in one action in order of what you performed. Some actions take a while, it will display it’s progress as it goes.
With the above actions chosen:
The partition will be deleted >
A partition will be created >
The partition will be formatted >
Your partition will be labeled.

⚠️ Just make very sure you are not touching your OS drive.

And for piece of mind, copy (not cut & paste) your needed files to an external or another drive. You will find after performing the above actions, your files will still be on the drive that you resized..
