Hello, yesterday i ran a small windows update and my PC started getting BSODs, to fix that so far I've tried updating the drivers, rolling back the windows update I did, since the dump files always contained "hypervisor" in the error path I tried to disable hypervisor(not sure if I succeeded), I disabled safe boot, disabled memory integrity, unchecked the hypervisor folders in windows features and ran shell/command prompt scripts for disabling hypervisor.

The blue screen seem to happen when I use a browser and either twitch or youtube, it also happens in other cases actually? not too sure. Usually before it bsods i get some in browser errors. help would be appreciated. 🙏

here are the log collector results: DEVAISI-(2024-11-23_15-54-41).zip
log collector probably fetches minidump files as well but I'll sent them as well just in case: dumps (1) - Google Drive

Please perform the following steps:

1) Turn off WDV

2) Make sure that there is no overclocking during the troubleshooting

The RAM speed was recorded at 6400.

The Intel CPU supports RAM up to DDR5 5600 MT/s

Turn off XMP.

3) Report whether RAM F5-6400J3648F16G is or is not on the Qualified Vendor List (QVL)

4) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

5) Turn off Windows fast startup:

5) Create a new restore point

5) For new BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post

3) the model of my particular ram wasn't on the list

after I did all of this, it didn't bsod for 2 days. after that I thought I would turn OC back on, since it seemed to be working and test if it bsods and it didn't bsod for 3 days with OC on. unfortunately now it did again with OC turned on. do you think it's the fault of overclocking?

I found that internet browsing drives up my CPU temperature into the 60's and even 70's. I noticed my BSOD's seemed to correlate with the higher temps. How did I know? I have an ASUS motherboard and have "Asus Armoury Crate" installed. From within Armoury Crate, I can monitor CPU temp, among other things. With this, I set out to bring down CPU temp by changing my CPU fan, added another fan to my case, and changed air flow configurations. This, along with enabling "Power Saving Mode" from within Armoury Crate, brought down my CPU temp and it is now steady in the low to mid 30's. I am not gaming though. Best of all, at least so far (3 days now), no more BSOD's. Is this the fix? Not likely the only problem for many but it's a good place to start. After using your PC for a little while, boot in to your BIOS and check the temperature. Just a suggestion.

The weird thing is that it has never crashed during gaming which has the highest CPU temps, so that's probably not the issue in my case. I appreciate the advice though tyvm.

Something else I did aside from bringing down my CPU temp was to disable "Memory Integrity" from within Windows. Search "Core Isolation" from the search bar to locate. I also put my bios back to default. Lastly, I had a trial of Nortons Driver Updater. It found 22 drivers that were out of date. Most had minor version differences but I updated nonetheless. I can't say for certain what really stopped my BSOD's but something did.
