Hello,

I have an NZXT N7 Z790 motherboard and I've downloaded all the base drivers from the NZXT Store Website. However, I've noticed a lot of these drivers are older (released 2021, 2022 etc.) like the Intel and Realtek ones. I downloaded the Intel Driver and Support Assistant and it updated a couple things, however when I run Ccleaner Driver Updater just to verify my drivers are up-to-date it's reporting that the Realtek(R) Audio 6.0.9360.1, Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller 10.53.1001.2021, Intel(R) PCI Express Root Port #1-#4 10.1.46.3 and Intel(R) LPC Controller/eSPI Controller 10.1.46.3 are all out-of-date.

The reason why I'm posting here is because I want to avoid downloading the wrong driver and messing up my system. I'm kind of looking for a driver updater that will scan/update my system. Something trustworthy and free to use. If not could I please be pointed in the right direction for which drivers to download?

Thank you!

Hi again, Arily

Not sure how much trust I’d put into CCleaner in that respect.

Then there’s the age old advice of; if it’s not broken don’t try to fix it.

    …still on a horse.
I've never checked the validity of CCleaner Driver Updater's offerings.

I avoid worrying about it by not using it. ;-)

My drivers are something of a mix. The graphics drivers are directly from nVidia. The chipset drivers, from AMD. The rest are more hit or miss.

I dislike the Intel Driver and Support Assistant because it always runs, and can't be prevented from loading at Windows startup. Ridiculous.

No need to use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant. Use Speccy or Aida64 to see exactly which hardware devices you have, then go direct;y to Intel and download the latest appropriate driver. Same for nVidia, AMD, Realtek and others. Well, not for newer Realtek audio cards, they don't provide the drivers anymore.

Are these free to use and trustworthy?
Aida 64 isn't free. Speccy is.

I use neither, But they are both trustworthy.

I manually check for drivers. IMHO, Intel makes that trickier than most.

Yes, Intel used to provide all drivers even for their oldest chipset ls and graphics. Now they have made it very difficult to track old drivers in an attempt to force us upgrade our hardware.
