I interchange files freely between my laptop Windows (Softmaker Office) and my desktop (Linux, Softmaker Office) and have only encountered problems when the installed fonts don't match. i.e. using a Linux default font when producing a Softmaker word processor document with pictures, and then finding the formatting is wrong in Softmaker (TextMaker) when opened in Windows. Making the fonts the same solved the problem. I assume the same issue would happen if the receiving computer had MS Word on it also. Of course, one should really use a Desktop Publishing program if producing a complex document with words and pictures. My priority, is not an Office suite that works on Linux and Windows.
The point of this thread, is, are docs produced by LibreOffice, 100% file compatible with Ms Office.
Feedback I'm receiving is, maybe on Windows, not likely on Linux.
Win 10 install in progress...

For fonts used by MS, one can install the MS-fonts package on Linux and everything should look the same under LibreOffice.
Ultimately, of course, it's whatever works best for you. I would recommend testing the alternatives to see if they meet your needs."Should", is the topic in question here..
Have now decide to re-install Windows 10 on 2nd machine, and try Office 2021
Well MS Arial on Windows is MS Arial on Linux. Looks darn good."Should", is the topic in question here..
I didn't think it would be fully editable and controllable, as it was posted as a View Only...

I converted it to Excel to see what it looks like. I don't think this is what you were asking for - nevertheless.I'd be interested to see how other Suites handle the likes of this xlsx
