OneDrive sync file question

I have a project that I may access from Pc or notebook and was advised to keep sync off since it may create database issues. I only have 1 app running at a time. Currently have set to keep on PC and notebook in file explorer. Naturally I want the database always current. does onedrive keep the 3 PC, Notebook, cloud all current?

"What database issues are you referring to?
And what is the "database" you're talking about?

BTW, OneDrive sync's files to the OneDrive server so that other devices can access them. It doesn't change your data.
