Solved Open in Windows Terminal

In pictures when you right click a picture it will give you the option to "Open in Windows terminal",
then when you click that option it takes you to the Windows Power Shell, with the cursor flashing. My question is what commands
would be useful there ? Would "delete" remove the picture you had clicked ? or what commands have you used ?

Don't use the Windows Terminal if you don't know which commands to execute.

FreeBooter, I know a lot of commands just that i have never seen this before !! Wondering also if this is a new feature in W11 i don't rem seeing it in any Windows version before !!

Just looked in my wifes Windows 10 and that option is not there ! So it must be new in W11 !!!!

I'm not getting that result - just the usual picture related options.

There should not be a context menu option for opening Windows Terminal for individual files, i don't have that option.
When executing a delete command, you have to provide a file or folder name or the command will not work.

Windows Terminal is a Shell aggregation app that allows you to use PowerShell (native to Windows), the CMD commandline shell, Azure Shell, and (if you have them installed) the new cross-platform PowerShell 7.x. You can add multiple instances of the same shell with a little bit of coding, if you want. The app has been available to download and install for quite a while. It let's you use different shells concurrently via tabs, and even multiple instances of the same shell in different tabs. It's a boon for coders.

In Windows 10 it is an app you can install from the Store, or that you can download and install yourself directly from GitHub. I've been using Terminal for a while.

The only thing that is different is that Terminal comes pre-installed in Windows 11, from the store, so it is integrated into your system much in the same manner as Brink shows you how to do on Windows 10.

If you uninstall Terminal through Apps, that context menu item should also go away.

This context menu item, though, is not file-type specific - it is (should be) available for all file types, even if you can't actually do anything with the file itself in a shell environment. The OP's example of right clicking an image and trying to open it in Terminal is a great example - it probably won't do anything, or it may just post the file path directly into an existing Terminal window shell.

All i see is Windows Terminal open for your Desktop, you would not have a option for opening Windows Terminal for files.

I should have checked more closely - it shows for folders, so I assumed it did for files as well.

All i know is "it is what it is" and i will ride with johnlgault reasoning !
