Out of the blue Gmail isnt allowing me to log in via Outlook 2024 client. I'ce read all the possible google responses and no joy yet. Can anyone shed any light on this for me ? I am not using 2FA - just a Google password and I have the correct port #'s. I am allowing Outlook to configure it for me. Do I now need an app specific password and if so where can I get it in Google. Thanks in advance.

Thank YOu. For Outlook 2024 I had to delete the accountin Outollok, go into Credential Manager and delete any Office cerdentials and then start adding the account all over again. When adding the address back in it triggered a Google web page to check a box to allow a MS appt o add / delete emails. Fixed and good as new. This was for a local LTSC Outlook install.

I had this problem on all my PCs over the weekend. I had no relevant credentials but used the registy edit in the link below to fix the problem. I deleted my Gmail account in Outlook, closed Outlook then deleted the relevant Registry key. On restarting Outlook, I entered the Gmail email address which then linked to my Google account to grant access to Outlook. This seems be a software bug thanks again to poor MS software engineering.

Users get errors 0x800CCC0E & 0x800CCC0F synchronizing Gmail and Yahoo accounts in classic Outlook - Microsoft Support
