Outlook Mail App / Deleting Emails ??

With this New Outlook Mail App , somethings are not the same as previous Outlook Mail App format.. Unless I'm missing something or not doing it right ?? The Objective is to Delete either Sent or Received emails when I'm finished with them. Previously one could click on the box beside desired email, after a few click the garbage can symbol and business done.. Now it's One by One individually, Help Thoughts Opinions appreciated .. To select all emails - CTRL+a
To select multiple individual emails scattered in the list - hold down ctrl and click on each email in list you want to delete.
to select a range of consequetive emails in the list -select first email, hold down shift, select last email. All emails between first and last will be selected
