Paint in Windows 11 format?

Hello

1.
When opening Paint in Windows 11, you see a white blank canvas.
What is that format?
Is that just Paints own format / data?

2.
If I draw something in Paint in Windows 11 - window 1
Open another Paint window - window 2
If I copy the picture in Paint from window 1 to window 2, then what is the format in the copy holder? bitmap? Paints own format / data?

Microsoft commonly uses the BMP format. Without trying to decompile paint, it would be hard to say for sure, but it typically doesn't matter what format it is saving it to another common format is fairly trivial and widely supported.

Correct, the data for the image is just stored in memory at this point. You get the choice of which format to use when you save it for the first time.
