I got a new Alienware R16 and it has been crashing for seemingly no reason. 2 times i actually was not doing anything and the pc crashed. only once was i gaming. The pc is acting great 99 percent of the time. Temps very low even when gaming. So i am at a loss as to what is going on. Everything is up to date. and I'm not a newb by any means. So any help would be most welcome. I am concerned about the CPU being to blame. I have a 14900F and alienware has yet to release the intel patch.

New computers should not have hangs, freezes, and BSOD.

Consider contacting Dell for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Please perform the following steps:

1) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

2) Create a new restore point:

3) Uninstall or uninstall and reinstall: (whenever possible reinstall drivers displayed on the Dell website)

a) wfpent8 wfpent8 c:\windows\system32\drivers\wfpent8.sys

I'm not a gamer, but if it were me, I would not do anything to void my warranty on a new machine of that caliber. I would be contacting Alienware warranty support.
You can start here.

I promise you it won't be fun. You'll probably start with a chat where you won't get much help but you have to follow Dell's protocol. Demand to speak with a support agent. You won't get any real help until you do.

THIS. Have DELL or Alienware, deal with it.

They may ask that you:

a) run their hardware diagnostics
b) backup files the perform a factory reset
etc.

Make sure that you start with a computer that does not have recurrent hangs or freezes.

And make sure that there are no unexpected shutdowns and restarts with or without BSOD.
