Hello guys.

Just bought this monitor and wondering if anyone can tell me if this needs calibration or if it's just fine out of the box.

I have no major knowledge on calibrating monitors neither do i have any hardware for it.

Would like to know if anyone has any profiles i can download or if there is any recommendation of settings to enable/disable or change in the monitor menu.

Or if i should use the Win 11 tool for calibrating and that is enough.

Any suggestion is welcome

I'd start with the "drivers" for the monitor. (No listing for Windows 11, but the drivers for 10 will be good. Or 8 or 7.) They include an ICM profile for the monitor. That controls the colors produced by the display adapter.

Whether you need more depends on the application. If you wish to use the monitor for precise photo processing, it might benefit from profiling. (Experts refer to calibration as using measured data to change settings in a look-up table. The calibration would be internal to the monitor, and can move with it. Your monitor doesn't have a programmable LUT.)

If it's solely for gaming, profiling might not buy you much.

It's been quite awhile since I had to install drivers for a monitor. Mostly it's changing the resolution and other things on the right-click of the screen that change with the size of a monitor. About all that was on floppies or CDs that came with one involved critical color matching for graphics and a user manual. Literally plug and play. Did that a month ago when a newly-widowed lady gave me a 24" Dell monitor [payment for setting up her QuickBooks and Quicken], still have more work to do in changing to the better computer later, moving files, etc.
