OS
Windows 11 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3085)
Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

I use the "Pin to Quick Access" to pin folders I regularly use to the top of file explorer.

However, they do not stay and soon disappear and the change is not permanent..

How do I make these folder that I pin to Quick Access "stay" ????

If you are running any 3rd party GUI altering app like explorerpatcher, start 11, etc, uninstall it.Not necessarily related to your problem, but you are running windows 11 21h2. I suggest you go to windows update and see if your computer is offered 22h2. If so install it, then the subsequent updates afterwords. It could very well fix your problem. In fact it would be a good idea to uninstall any such mentioned app BEFORE updating to 22h2. You are running incompatible hardware so the 22h2 update may not be offered to you.

Well I have Start 11, I paid for it and quite like the customisation that it brings and Windows 10 layout rather than the odd and hard to get used to Windows 11. I have done WU and never has it offerred to upgrade to 22H2

I have Start 11, I paid for it
Since you have an incompatible cpu, you will have to install 22h2 manually. Instructions in this thread. Still no 22H2 offered
I would uninstall start 11 first. After your system is updated go to Stardock and download the latest version of start11. I also advise you make an image of your system first.

21h2 will not longer be supported after 10/23
