seems a load of decent Movies etc available on some platform I'd never heard of == Seems Free to Air in the clear (i.e not scambled )without any "dubious VPN or other decryption" schemes required. PLUTO TV -- watched a couple of decent Sci-Fi movies on it in passble quality both on Local Computer in Firefox in full screen mode and on an Amazon fire stick on a remote TV -- app on firestick is 100% free.
Is this site legal or is there some sort of hidden scam behind it all -- I haven't been asked for any money or subscriptions yet. :
I've been watching PlutoTV on and off for years... they advertised heavy on Roku a few years back. I forgot they were owned by Paramount, but I knew they were legit even before the Roku deals.
It's free because some of the content contains ads/commercials like you'd see in the ad version of Hulu for example.

I didn't mean 'forced' that way... I just meant when Vizio updates their firmware (or software), it's one of the added apps that gets put on the TV... (I guess I meant forced because you can't add/remove any of the apps they decide they want you to have, you just just rearrange the order they are in)
Hi --it's the 2% that matters -- and at least it's Free to Air !!!
Most TV these days is rather boring -- nothing even vaguely new - usually re-makes (often worse by far than the original) or "re-boots" of old plots. Netflix seems to be rapidly going downhill these days with its lack of quality offerings and often the good stuff on Amazon Prime Video has to be paid for extra.
I saw an interesting theme on the UK's ITV Hub recently -- a person came back from holiday to find that her house had been sold -- I thought could have been an interesting twist on a possible scam - but after around the ist 5 mins it degenerated into just marital problems and a messy divorce and nothing about the original idea of a house being sold unknown to the owner while he / she was away. !!!
