Haven't found 11 to be as good as 10 so far. Maybe when 11 is finished, that will change. But unless it's improved dramatically, I won't install 11 on anything except my Insider DEV Channel machine as long as 10 is supported.

It is good, however they removed a lot of useful features, that is a big downside.

I love it so far.. the only thing about Win 10 I liked more was the ability to group icons on the start menu but I can easily adapt to the new version

Not madly keen on not being able to move the taskbar to the bottom left -- this worked on the "leaked preview" but not the real version.
Otherwise Upgrade was simple enough - no funny errors and all old programs working.

So OK for me so far - perhaps once the android apps get a bit more mature that could be interesting because there are a few android apps which are more convenient and work better than the equivalent Windows apps.

Not sure I like the fonts used in Windows explorer - doesn't really bother me but re-scaling of fonts for various applications would be fine. The fonts also used in the lock screen aren't as nice as in W10.

I like the "Virtual desktop" feature

so my verdict on this so far is : pass and will keep using it.

Cheers
jimbo

Well, at this point I will have to compromise between the two extremes and say: I like it. It's at least as fast as Windows 10 was when at its best, and the new look of Store, Start Menu, Settings and taskbar is pretty nice. I'm having some issues (OK, I know: it's Dev, BUGS, blah blah)

1. Cant enable Core Isolation in Security Center (posted in Feedback Hub). Standard hardware security not supported. The irony!
2. Virus automatic sample submission is turned off every time machine is started. (Feedback Hub)
3. Deleting files and folders takes an extra mouse click now via right click menu/More options. What is up with that? No, no, no. 🤨
Edited 6/30/2021: I know the Strike-thru looks ugly but the line no longer applies. Seems there's a Trashcan at the top in File Explorer so it's an actual improvement. Very nice. (y)

Is it worth the anguish some are expressing at being not able to upgrade due to hardware restrictions? Imo, nope. I'm not sorry I upgraded early, though. Hope it stays stable.

I don't really love it or hate it... seems to be mostly insignificant changes. If you change the start menu back to the Windows 10 start menu, you could fool a lot of people into thinking you were running Windows 10, unless they were looking for small cosmetic changes. I think, for the most part, the small changes have been positive, but they are so insignificant that it's hard to really form much of an overall opinion.

I've not been one to complain about new start menus (even Win 8), but this new one needs some work. Not crazy about having to drill down to get to "all apps" and I don't like the "recommended" section remaining on the menu even when you aren't using it. I went back to the Win 10 start menu for now, but I wouldn't mind using the new one if they made some smart improvements to it.

While I've said (and still say) it's 100,000X better than the leak - it has too many things that are irking me.

No KB support in the Win + X system menu for one. Forcing ppl to use the mouse for simple things like copy and paste by moving all the way yup to the top of the Explorer window, instead of a simple right click. Unable to enable / disable system icons in the notification area.

It's a lot more polished than I expected - but it's still got a ways to go.

Pros
Windows 11

Cons
State Repository service causes 20% CPU (@4,2 GHz) every few sec by opening backgrountaskhost.exe
Background apps run nonstop (probably the reason for above)
No more CMD in the Start
Many settings hidden/removed
Desktop context menu unusable now
Action Center's clean notifications button is on top now
Action Center shows Calendar (I would rather see notifications only)
Show Desktop takes ~3 secs to activate (instant before) and not present in alt/tab menu either
With hidden taskbar, right click Start menu jumps up and down
With hidden taskbar, right click Start menu does not disappear with left click when taskbar hides
With hidden taskbar, you can not open action center or show desktop, unless you point at the taskbar, systray is blocked

Except for the minimum hardware requirements, it's just good to have a fresh and new OS that looks different but still very familiar. I think it is really snappy even in a very old system so I imagine how happy those with a new and latest hardware would be to have this new Windows OS.
So I don't love it that much at this point, but still loving it. :D
and also, I think Windows 11 is a very good excuse to tell your wives for an upgrade!
Just don't tell your wives about this poll... they'll hate Windows 11. 🤣

Oh I love it. Only as a virtual machine though. I changed my mind, I am not yet ready to install it on my main rig. It is not that stable yet.

Finally they are getting rid of the legacy control panel, more and more. The new UI is nice.
