Solved Possible Issue on Windows 11 Desktop with Windows Update

Hello There

occasionally i do manual Windows Update checks, and it goes to Download A Defender Definition update then just sits on Downloading and never finishes.

Restarted once already, and sfc /scannow came back all good

Hmmm Today it seemed to finish fine, very strange maybe i don't have an issue, perhaps was an ISP Glitch only other guess

Any other tips or suggestions

Delete Windows update cache files and try again, you can do it with attached batch script.

Ok will give this script a shot

This is second time Desktop done this, otherwise normally everything works fine 90 percent of the time

All Appears Fine Now after running the script

Also for good measure ran Sfc /scannow and Dism online cleanup image restorehealth command

So think all good now! issue should be solved i hope for good
