Will using a non mfg power cable to a GPU cause issues? Like destroy/damage the PSU or the GPU?
TIA

No, as long as you have the right number of pins, you are just fine. Many replace the cables that their power supplies come with and go with custom sleeved cables for a cleaner look.

Depends, Corsair have different cable for their own PSU's like Type 3 and Type 4 etc and some cannot be swapped even Corsair to Corsair so same would be case for custom made ones so need be careful when you order.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
If the pins are bad fit it causes heat and can melt the connectors.

In the case of my PSU, Corsair AXi1600 I would buy from one of the well know rep modders who make them for my PSU and they specify type 3/4 etc if I wanted them.

Not sure if all their cable are same for each PSU, check on their site and the good mod sites and see if they actual list a specific set of cable for EVGA models or same as any other ones.

Remember at device end they need all be 100% same so we can fit with our Mobos/GPU etc, but at the PSU end they can be proprietary.

Regardless of above some cheap cables can be a poor fit at either end and that is a risk you can take, you can look up photos of rigs ruined by cheap PSU leads extensions etc.

What's your exact PSU model? (Not given in My Computer.)

Are you asking whether you can use a third-party cable with a modular PSU?

I'm doing that, now, with a Seasonic PSU. MB power cable If you're concerned, it may be possible to check the pinouts with a DVM (digital voltmeter). I didn't do that.

There are many third party cables for sale on Amazon. Fairly cheap.

Here's the PSU:

And the cable I ordered

If that fails I'll get this

Worst case.. I'll get a new PSU with 750w.

My two cents, don't go cheap on a psu cable. Specially if it is for a graphics card.

My two cents, don't go cheap on a psu cable. Specially if it is for a graphics card.
I can just use that one for a short time and then get a better one or a new PSU in Sept for my bDay

I actually haven't notice the difference in pins, but because my cables are labelled like the one on your link (mine is also EVGA), I am not sure if CPU and GPU cables are the same.
You were asking about GPU cable from your first post, but the link of the one you ordered is for CPU?

3rd party cables may not necessarily damage your GPU, but cheap ones may do.

I want a GPU cable and the one I ordered today looks like a GPU cable. If it's not what I need I'll simply get a new cable or just get a new PSU that has all of the cables I need, plus a new warranty.

Chances are I'll get a new PSU in Sept. That way I'll know I have the right cables for the PSU.

The description says "CPU" cable.
PSU cables have different pin shape configuration. It may not work,
