No. It will be a separate app.

I just asked because now when I open the Preview it popup a notification saying that there are a stable version.

ok so I can open powershell and use it, its not in my apps list(Control Panel) or the start menu apps but its there..I went to MS Store and it wants to download like a new app and not an update??? See my confusion? also when I search for powershell, open it and then go into About this is the info..
Why am I in Powershell but it says Terminal.

So is my version like dinosaur old?? i mean its version 1.XXX and the New powershells version is 7.3

Uninstall all versions and install only that you want.

No Microsoft Store version because has some limitations.

They are 2 separate apps, The one you have installed is "Windows Powershell", note the line "Install the latest PowerShell for new features and improvements! Migrating from Windows PowerShell 5.1 to PowerShell 7 - PowerShell" "Powershell" is the latest. They all launch through Terminal and your Terminal is the latest version.

MS really should give us the option to get rid of PS 5, it is vulnerable and commonly abused by malware, 7 introduced many security features. MS wants to keep it for compatiblity reasons, but I remove it and I do not really miss it.
