Win10 on Gigabyte Aorus B450 M, AMD 5600G CPU, 24 Gb Ram, 5.1 speakers.

With all Realtek UAD audio driver versions that came later 6.0.9599.1 , my speakers making small pop sounds randomly . Sound is not so big but observable. Sound comes particularly while clicking mouse or moving. All driver versions after 6.0.9599.1 giving this trouble whether drivers came from Microsoft or a 3rd party. But surprisingly older drivers before this version not giving any trouble. I gone through so many solutions that I found on web but no use. Problem is same with both 10 and 11 OSes. So I kept with 6.0.9599.1 version for now.

Do any of you have similar problem ? Solution ?

6.0.9599.1 must have not reached the OEMs yet. I updated my Realtek driver thru Dell just last week. The latest Dell offers is 6.0.9486.1 dated 3/1/23 which works fine.
@MoKiChU posted that Realtek driver as applicable to for Asus Rogue and Asus Tuf mobos. I did not find where he indicated that it applies to Gigabyte Aorus. Maybe he will step in and advise you.
The Gigabyte support page for Gigabyte B450 Aorus M shows its latest Realtek driver to be 60.9373.1.
It's always best to use the drivers offered from your motherboard manufacturer.

I've also had problems with the latest Real Tek audio driver 6.0.9486.1 for our Dell Inspiron 5400 All In One. Using this driver, when the PC boots there is a loud " cracking sound" and then the audio works normally. I was instructed to roll back the driver to 6.0.9411 where there is no issue. Reinstalling 9486 makes no difference.

It's always best to use the drivers offered from your motherboard manufacturer.

It's a 2018 Motherboard. Non critical updates (Audio, NW even Video/GPU) - rarely get extended support. BIOS & Chipset is the only exception - since this are deemed as critical updates. Tho, that's only true for some companies (Gigabyte being one of those).

Latest OEM driver is [6.0.9373.1] - so why try to fix something that's not broken?

Video, NW or Bluetooth Drivers are the only drivers worth downloading from the Manufacturer (Intel, nVidia or AMD) - since the OEMs couldn't care less if their latest drivers (3 years older) are poorly optimized or even broken in some cases.

Same can't be said about Audio drivers. Since this are made for a specific hardware configuration and the software bundled with that. For full functionality - the latest OEM are usually the best option. Tho, as mentioned above - since most OEMs couldn't care less about optimizations - there's cases where the generic Windows Driver works better (while losing all the extra functions/software - tied to the latest OEM driver).

Furthermore, i've never seen any Release Notes - detailing any change or improvement for Realtek Drivers. For Realtek - the version of the driver is usually tied to the latest hardware using their Audio Chips. Basically, they just continue from where they left of (on older hardware) - with the versions. Doesn't mean the latest is better for your 5 - 6 year old hardware - it simply means it's functional (or should be functional) - for the latest hardware using Realtek Audio Chips.

for consumer Gigabyte boards, yes the latest one listed for such boards is 6.0.9373.1.
for workstation/server based Gigabyte boards, the latest one offered is 6.0.9520.1 {released late October 2023}

for other Gigabyte products, they're versions 6.0.9509.1, 6.0.9517.1 & 6.0.9567.1 from Gigabyte's IPC site, GigaIPC.com (for industrial grade gigabyte boards & mini pcs) - I tested these versions on my old Gigabyte {socket am3+ based} AMD board using Realtek ALC892 with HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182" and they worked fine without problems

6.0.9599.1 is not an "official" driver release (as Gigabyte was never given such a version from Realtek) as you might have gotten it somewhere from an "unofficial" driver package

the only version closest version to 9599 is 6.0.9597.1 from Microsoft Update catalog (which Realtek gave that 9597 version to MS)

the only 6.0.9599.1 driver when I first heard about that version is this one from Station-drivers (which have "White" related INF files > HDXWHITE.inf & HDX_WhiteExt_RTK.inf). no INF files included that are related to Gigabyte

You're missing the point:

"But surprisingly older drivers before this version not giving any trouble."

He already has good drivers - but keeps updating them just for the sake of seeing a bigger/newer version number in Device Manager. This is an obsession (or even a modern mental issue - if you will) - which some people develop while learning some of the basics of using an Operating System.

Don't get me wrong - driver updates can be useful even recommended IF you have issues with current drivers - or simply because the latest drivers added/introduced new features. Not the case with this particular drivers - tho, quite common for most Realtek Audio drivers ( generally speaking). Be it from the OEM or a different source - if you find a driver that works - stick with it. It's not like GPU drivers - where a newer version can fix some issue or get optimized for a newly released game. Quite the opposite - with Audio drivers - devs don't look to the future to improve their drivers - but older predefined audio standards. Even more than that - it's Microsoft devs who will optimize Windows to work for specific drivers tied to your given system/motherboard/audio card. And same goes for game developers.

That being said and as the old saying goes - if it aint's broke don't fix it.

    ...Where's my horse?
I tend to grab my Ethernet Drivers from Realtek own driver site

Should i not be doing that?

Audio Drivers i did grab from Gigabyte Site for my Gigabyte B460M-DS3H

Wireless & Bluetooth i grab from Intel Support Assistant when there an update available it tells me

Nvidia Drivers i get directly from Nvidia

Maybe the Ethernet drivers are the reason I've been having my SecondLife issue since November 2023 lol Hmmms, (can try removing the current driver tomorrow, and just use the ones from Gigabytes site if folks think its a good idea, or wait for a future update to come out on Realteks site that fixes the issue fully.

Yes i'm kinda obessed on having all my drivers up to date as possible, though this motherboard is from 2020, so i gotta learn not all drivers will have updates anymore

@markw51. I use Dell Update/Command to check for updates and haven't been offered an audio driver update. As 9411 works for us, no point in changing. Mitch.

Gigabyte did recently release a new Realtek audio driver a few days ago on 6/12 on their web site - version 6.0.9652.1
-listed only for recent Gigabyte boards with AMD A620/B650/TRX50/X670 & Intel Z790/B760/Q670/H610 chipsets

just not listed for older Gigabyte boards like B450 & Z590

only update if using recent motherboards as this newest version is not guaranteed to work well with older boards and only have been tested to work fine with newer boards

The recently released Realtek driver was listed as being compatible with the Z690 Aorus Elite AX, but the symptoms are still there. I was hearing some popping sounds as well after I installed the driver. For me the last real stable driver was 6.0.9556.1.

The symptoms I have are the audio popping at random and when I get a notification on the desktop, I cannot hear the sound sometimes. Also if no sound is heard on the PC for a few minutes it seems like the audio gets muted for some reason and turns the volume back up when the algorithm notices that there is sound being played. Also playing a video on MPC makes the video delay lag like it is waiting for the audio to play along with the video.

after several months, Gigabyte has released a 6.0.9733.1 driver version in late October (actually 10/22) for most Gigabyte boards (even for many Z690/Z790 & newly released Z890 boards) that should resolve many of the sound problems {alternate link to the 6.0.9733.1 driver}. the 6.0.9733.1 driver release supersedes/replaces the 6.0.9689.1 & 6.0.9652.1 driver versions which are no longer available from the main Gigabyte site.
