In TenForums you have a tutorial showing how to look inside protection history for something that has been quarantined
"How to View Protection History of Microsoft Defender Antivirus in Windows 10"

This isn't the same in 11 and a scan shows 1 threat which I assume has been quarantined, but there isn't a lot of info in 11

Any chance of a tutorial on how to see what that threat is in Windows 11 please ?

It should be listed in Windows Security under Protection History, just as it is in Windows 10. But there is a bug that some have seen that means the Protection History is missing. It's not a new bug, I had it myself on one machine and found that Protection History was already missing in the Win10 that I had upgraded to Win11.

If your Protection History is missing too, then you can see the same information in the Event Viewer. See this post of mine for where to look.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

this is all I am getting.

As this is a pre release version of 11, I think I will do an ISO install and check again.

I created that custom view for myself. I exported it and attached it in a .zip file in my post DefenderUI - post #3

You can download the .zip and extract it, then import it into your Event Viewer to get that Custom View for yourself.

Is there a way to restore the deleted file from event viewer? If not then its kinda useless?
