Hi,
Windows 11 was working fine last week, I've shut the PC down came back this morning to no network.
Event viewer is showing hardware I/O errors against the Realtek gigabit ethernet adapter. Unfortunatly this is built into the motherboard. I've tried the following:

Connecting using a known working cable and network port
Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers
Using windows restore to go back to last Thursday when it was working
Booting to Macrium Reflect recovery which failed to connect to the nework. It sees the card but shows as disconnected.
I've plugged in a known working USB wireless dongle which windows can't identify. I did work prior to today.
When I connect a known working USB hard disk to the PC Windows has issues identifying it.
I'm about to boot from a live linux ISO and see if it detects anything.

I'm beginnging to think this is an issue with the motherboard.
Anyone any other ideas ?

I'm wondering if I should buy a new betwork card, or replace the motherboard ! ?

Thanks

Booting into Ubuntu and I have network so I don't think it's hardware.
I'm recovering an old Macrium backup which I know the PC was working on and will see what happens.
