Note:
"We're NOT affiliated to Microsoft in ANY way. Rectify11 is an unofficial mod trying to fix the issues in windows 11."

Rectify11 aspires to re-create what Windows 11 should have been as an operating system - fast, simple, unique and consistent . Windows 11 have always been quite a half-baked OS. There are old looking visuals in many places.
If you've installed this alternative Windows 11 version...,
... post your thoughts and findings here, if you wish!

Well..., it's got about 157 less things going on in Task Manager, than W11!

I lost Explorer somehow! 🤷‍♂️

How is that guy getting away with using the Windows code, modifying it, and releasing his own version of it. Looks like MS would have their lawyers all over his a$$.

I thought this was just a mod to be installed on top of Windows 11. I installed it on Virtual Box; it's a complete operating system. During installation it asked for a product key; I clicked "I don't have one" and the install continued. Now it's up and running. Time to poke around.

It's not an extreme radical departure...,
... more consistency in the icon and colors department,
a lot less telemetry, if any!
Explorer Patcher is built in!
A valiant effort.

I'm sorry, but MS should really take note of this...,
For mouse invoked media controls, bring back the Media OSD!
No sense having it buried in the System Tray!

They should have their developers all over it saying "why didn't we think of that"

This forum is littered with MS spies! ;-)
Problem is, if they suggest any of these awesome ideas back at the office, they get spankings and put on latrine duty for 30 days!

Partial assessment:
The OS installs giving you full administrative privilege's with UAC completely off by default, which is probably not the smartest route to go!
There's no anti virus, you gotta install your own..., only Windows Firewall!
A lot less processes in Task Manager, fewer Services running...,
a lot less bloatware.
Pretty snappy on my 12 year old HP dinosaur, though I've not installed many programs, yet!

EDIT:
I needed WMP for QTTabBar media previews but, something weird happened when I enabled WMP, stuff started lagging and crashing! 🤷‍♂️
The new Media Player requires the Powershell hack to get it working on this build, or just install something else.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Whoever modded this, dug a bit deeper than I would've dared!
It's not really mind blowing, though!

Pretty much out of the box, with a few essentials added...
