Regarding updating BIOS on ASUS motherboard

Hi!
I am building a PC with an ASUS motherboard for the first time.
I am used to building with Gigabyte motherbards and was wondering if ASUS provides any checksums for their firmware?

Gigabyte provides a weird 4 digit checksum for each BIOS firmware, however I can't find any for ASUS.

Since I'm not sure if the download uses Https or any other measure for increased security it would be nice to double check the firmware for corruption/tampering before updating.
Does anyone know if the firmware is digitally signed or something similar?

As far as I know, no checksum.

However, Asus BIOS downloads are ZIP files. That should provide against file corruption. (If the file is corrupt, you shouldn't be able to unzip it without it being flagged for errors.)

Tampering? If you're worried about downloading firmware directly from the manufacturer's web site, it's not obvious how getting a checksum from the same site would improve security.

Are you downloading the firmware directly from Asus? The links I see use https.

That doesn't look like a valid ASUS website. Go to ASUS Global and search your motherboard. For example, here's mine

Well, if you hover your mouse over the download button, you'll see the actual adress that the BIOS is being downloaded from.

The download location the OP shows is the correct Asus download server.
For the Op, I have updated my Asus ProArt BIOS 5 times without any issues, as long as you are downloading from the official source you shouldn't be worried.
I would suggest following the instructions relating to updating any firmware/ chipset drivers needed before updating the BIOS and if your BIOS supports it export your profiles.

That's the correct site for ASUS BIOS files, drivers, manuals... etc.
