Reposition Windows - Not System Assigned

Prior to the last update of Windows 11 I could left-click in the upper left corner of a running window and a menu option would be Properties. In there I could un-check a box that told Windows 11 to assign the position of the window itself. This was nice because I could position the windows where I wanted them and un-check the box and they would be at those positions the next time I started the software. Now that option is gone. How do I do this under the current release? Thanks!

Sorry! I assumed you were refiring to File Explorer but it's CMD. I get the same menu. Have you looked into the CMD settings? Just a guess.

I've looked through there extensively and couldn't find anything to allow manual control of window placement at start-up like the old "Properties" menu option did.

I ran into this. This article may shed some light. I changed it back to "Windows Console Host" and got my properties back. You give up the tabbed window but I never liked tabbed CMD prompts anyway.
