Solved . Resize hard drive

I have a hard drive with several partitions and I would like to make the drive with only one partition.

When I try to extend the partition, I get the message that it will be converted to a dynamic disk.

How can I resize the disk so that the disk is a basic disk and not a dynamic disk?

I am inclosing a snapshot from the Disk Management for your review.

What is that drive, internal or external? Your My Computer shows 256 which I assume is your boot drive [mine is 512GB and I added a 2TB with only 1 partition for data]. If only for data and a some program installs it would work to delete all the partitions then create and format just a single partition on it.

It is an external hard drive. I would like to add a second Operating System on the second hard drive.

To expand a partition you need to make space for it by shrinking or deleting existing ones other than the one you want to expand, without any space to can't expand a partition. Be aware that you need to backup any data on the partitions

What additional OS are you intending to install?

If the partitions are blank, then just delete them.

I deleted the partitions and I was able to resize the drive.
