Yeah, most people don't have HDDs but rather SSDs. They have no mechanical parts so there is little wear that happens from leaving the SSD powered on.

Hey T2T. Yes it is safe to set it to never. I believe that setting is ignored by ssd's. If an ssd enters a low power state it is controlled by the ssd formware, not this setting.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
