SanDisk releases WD NVMe SSD firmware update for BSOD on Windows 11 24H2

Western Digital highly recommends updating firmware.

Release Notes​

  • Addresses an issue with the HMB (Host Memory Buffer) for certain models of Western Digital and SanDisk SSDs, where the drive may cause a BSOD on Windows 11 24H2.

I have one of those drives.

I've been holding off on installing 24H2 -- may have to try again and see if it's any different.......after ensuring I have a backup of everything important on that drive, of course.
